The Scottish skirt is descended from the kilt made from tartan, the fabric featuring vertical and horizontal lines that criss-cross to form squares. While the most famous version of the kilt is green and blue, there are many more colour combinations out there, each representing a clan from the Scottish aristocracy. Today this pattern is being revisited with skirts in various different styles and fabrics. Whether above the knee, pencil or wrap-around, you can mix and match combinations and accessories to create classic bon-ton styles or bold punk looks.
